N The advance troops of the Papal Legate have returned from their forays, claiming success in their battles with the Moors.

N In a bloodless coup, Willameena became Prince of Barcelona, gaining even the support of the Tremere. She has established a primogen council.

N While many of the peasants have suffered greatly from hunger and sickness, those living by the docks have managed to thrive, eating crabs and shellfish.
NPoor hungry madmen have been seen roaming the streets, muttering that 'the Devil is in Barcelona', and 'his serpents lead the way'. The Church is afraid.
NThe trail of blood from the wounded Danielle deSancerre led to the Abbey of Santa Luisa, and ended there. She is not, according to the Abbess, in the abbey.
NWhen Baron Vlindar's peasants revolted and broke into his home, they deliberately ruined many of his books and scrolls, and left the rest to rot.

NCaravans heading past Sabbadell report being stopped by sinister looking church men, demanding tithes of goods and food. Resistance has led to death.
NKindred not of the path of Heaven or Chivalry cannot enter the nunnery of Santa Luisa since the cleansing.
NWillameena, Terrance, and Aahmes have spent long sessions behind locked doors at Elysium lately. Aelflaed guards them from interruptions.
NAs physicial to Saladin and his vizier, Moses Malmonides introduces new medical techniques to the court, involving moderate diet, sleep and fresh foods.

NThe road from Sabadell was discovered to have a mass of crockery broken, with frozen bits of snake mixed in.
NPassage in the harbor is complicated by ice floes in the bay.
NThe King of Spain has gone into retreat, and activity at court has all but ceased.
NThe King of France is being pressured by the Church to join the forming Crusade to the Holy Land.
NAahmes and Terrance were seen arguing in the grove. It looked like they might come to blows.

November 1199
NThe prince in Sabell has demanded that each of the clans of the true blood of caine present themselves at conclave, and offer forth a primogen to speak for them.
NThere was a massive earthquake resulting from Timothy the Devout taking ownership of a building that had a black heart imbedded in it's wall.
NOf the children that were transported to Sabella, three were determined to be unhealable or teachable, and were slain. A very young boy now appears with the Prince in the human court as his cupbearer.


October 1199
NThe Baali were slaughtered and driven from Barcelona by a handful of Kindred. Their portal to hell was then sealed with holy water obtained from Timothy the Devout.
NIn the Jewish Quarter several children who had been ghouled were discoverd. They said had been abandoned by a pretty pirate lady.
NThe children were presented to the seneschal, who then had them escorted to the prince.
NMany more Templars are coming to Barcelona, in preparation for another Crusade.
NA search of Barcelona revealed a house off the main square with a black heart imbedded in the wall, that levitated itself and repelled touches.

Nmany templar knights have arrived in town.

August 1199
Nmichael the hunter was identified and put in torpor  in elysium. He was then turned over to the seneschal, Miguela de Sabadell for questioning.
Na pool of corruption was detected under the surface of the ground outside of town.
Na mysterious cave was found outside barcelona with mysterious warnings written on the walls, and patches of black dirt that consume anything that touches it.


July 1199

NBarcelona has become a protectorate of Sabadell, and the Prince there has appointed a Seneschal.

NThe mysterious cave in the mountain was revisited by several Kindred, invisible holes in the walls were found there, as were mysterious black patches on the ground.

N Aelflaed has returned with her own squad of Hospitallers Knights, and all her monks.


March 1199

NCaius has been deposed in a coup by Baron Urik, Radu, Estevan, Antonio, Frederick and Andromeda..

NMoncado himself has been ordered to restore Lasombra rule to Barcelona.

February 1199

NA Man was found riddled with arrows on the docks.

NAlastiar has left town permanently.  He is said to be traveling East.

NWinged shapes have been seen flying about the city at night.

NMany Tremere have entered the City.  Perchyk has assured the Prince that they will not interfere with the Senate's activities.

NA new council has been formed out of the ruins of the old.  It now is comprised of a motly grouping of Kindred that the city elected last conclave, rather than a potluck grouping based on who's the leader of a certain clan.   The members are: Acrea (Tordeador), Antonio Ponce (Ventrue), Radu (Cappadocian), Rowan (Brujah), and Baron Urik Von Lentrovitch (Tzimisce). 

NA man was found stapled to the door of the Cathedral in Antigua, the Princes domain, bearing the mark of torture.

NSeveral bands of Hospitalar Knights have been asking about a man fitting the description of Phoenix de Pyrelight.


January 1199

NA carriage stopped at the Mausoleum. Black robed figures, flanked by guards carried in a chest on two poles. They left without the box. A lone figure in a black robe watched this fro m a distance with a tear on his cheek. He then left saying "Now begins the final struggle." The figures' description matches that of Azrael.

NCrimes in Barrio Chino have been harshly punished of late.

NThe individual who witnessed the mausoleum delivery was found crucified upside down after being obviously tortured.

NAfter being urged by the Church, Timothy the Devout has decided to leave in the Spring.

NThe Anti-semitic crimes vanished almost overnight as all of the main advocates were mysteriously slain. However, the tension between the races seems to be increasing.

NMany of the game animals being taken from the forest show signs of a mysterious plague.

NThe Jesuit Healers that arrived last November have set up in La Boqueria and have begun treating people. They accept no payment, saying only "No payment is necessary now, for I shall receive my reward later."

NTwo drunken men speaking in Latin were attacked by a gang of ruffians in Barrio Santiago. They defeated the nine armed attackers and limped off wounded but unconcerned.


December 1198

NRumours of strange activities have come from the Jewish wards. Some say inhuman creatures were seen there during the recent fires.

NLarge quantities of food have been brought into the city by the notorious pirate Isabella. Prices have greatly inflated, and it is feared that many grocers will go out of business.

NTextile goods have been arriving by caravans from France and Castile. Many of the caravans have been guarded by many of the new Royal Guards.

NMany citizens of the city are blaming the fire on the Jews, since their wards suffered so little damage. Violent hate crimes have begun to occur based on this.

NA young priest was found slaughtered near the Convent of Bensucce's. His heart and manhood had been torn from his body.

NTimothy the Devout blessed the foundation of the new Cathedral. As he did so, the earth trembled. Some are saying it's a bad omen and that the site is cursed.


November 1198

NThe ghost ship has returned, and several ships have been lost at sea..

NGranaries within and without the city were destroyed by fire, destroying much of the winter's food stores..

NA small order of Jesuit healers has entered the city..

NThousands of dead fish have washed up on the shore of the bay. The fishermen say this is a bad omen..

NRicardo the Chandler had his entire stock stolen on the evening of the fifth of the month..

NKing Peter has acquired a score of new guards. They are said to be large and pale skinned warriors from the North..

NThe city was once again engulfed in flames. Only the wards of Antigua and the Jewish area were spared from massive damage.


October 1198

NA young guardsman was found ritually slain. His heart and manhood had been removed.

NAll lumber clearing in the North Forest has been moved to the east.

NLaborers have come to the city to help construct roadside shrines.

NTwo mystery ships have been arriving in the city at night. Loading cargo and leaving before dawn. They are loading from the beach, not the usual docking area of the bay.

NArmed men have been seen along the trade roads, but banditry is on the decline.

NThere has been a great demand for excavation tools within the city.

NA beggar was found with strange tattoos. He is a madman who spends his day crying, punctuated with occasional bouts of fearful screaming.


September 1198

NThe poor quarter is being ravaged by a plague. The priest Glauch has been working to help the victims, using the hospice owned by Aelflaed.

NTimothy the Devout has been rumoured to have cured many of those stricken. He says the sickness is due to the Breath of the Devil.

NVermen and insects have begun multiplying at an astonishing rate.

NThe Baali Genoveva Montalban has resurfaced with her demon Rath-Baalgor. The Prince has called a Blood-Hunt on all Baali and their servitors.

NThe Prince has secretly been meeting with a mysterious cloaked figure.

NA Magus from Mystridge has entered the city and has spent a fortnight searching the University and Monastery libraries for something.


August 1198

NThe Baali have corrupted several prominant kindred, including Alastar.

NAzrael has returned to the city.

NSeveral strangers have been seen wandering the city at night.

NMany Tremere in outlying cities have been slain by 'demons'.

NSeveral mortals have died from a plague like sickness that kills swiftly.

NCrime and violence in the city are on the rise.

NThe prince from the burning time, Prince Caius Pernix has returned to the city. It seems he did not perish in the burnings last year.

NAlastar has left the city at the request of a 'mysterious lord'.

NThe Assamites are once again casting their eyes at Barcelona.

NAnother madman driven insane by the 'screams in his head' has been seen.

NA large number of Knights Templar have been reassigned to lands far south of Barcelona to stop the oncoming Muslims.


June 1198

NLawrence d'Cameron was destroyed by servants of the church.

N"Ghosts" have been seen near the mausoleum.

NA squire was found murdered in an alley. The body was mutilated and his manhood had been violently removed.

NThe "Ghost Ship" at sea has not been seen for some time.

NSeveral couriers arrived at the monastery with mysterious shipments of goods..

NKing Peter II's son has been murdered. The surviving witness said that Dark Tentacles came from the shadows and slew all.  The King has given the  church and the Templars unprecedented authority to root out the cause of this evil.

NTwo guards were assaulted near the cemetary. They say their assailant had the strength of 1000 men but did not seem concerned with killing them.

NMany citizens, both serf and merchants, have been murdered. Some by sword and arrow, and others appear to have been ravaged by some beast. Due to the reduction in the work force, and the losses to the merchant families, this has horribly damaged the city's economy.


May 1198

NLarge amounts of food have been shipped into the city, the economy and the populace has begun to recover.

NMadmen have been seen in the south. They claim to be driven by the screams in their minds.

NThe "Demon of the Woods" has not been heard in a fortnight.

NHigh tariffs have been charged on all incoming shipments not under church control.

NAlastar has declared the catacombs, the mausoleum and the monastery to be Cappadician domain. Anyone who trespasses upon these areas without permission will become reference material.

NThe Lasombra and Ventrue are preparing for a war between their clans.


April 1198

NThe Baali have had a major setback.

NThe Ventrue clan is having internal conflict.

NFood riots have wreaked havok upon the city (all influences are reduced by one level), and the city is descending into chaos.

NThe Moorish army to the south has been devastated by an unknown attacker.

NMany "sensitive" people have had an identical dream but they refuse to speak to outsiders about it. The Dream is said to be Prophetic and Very Bad.

NA man named Malachi has spread word among the kindred that he can arrange for the "Draconian" problem to be handled.


March 1198

NThe Prince and several prominent Cainites have been executed by Assamite spies.

NThe Knights Templar have made several attacks to rid Barcelona of the Devils Minions.

NThe Baali are quietly gathering forces.

NThe food shortages continue and now imported food is becoming scarce as many crews will not sail to Barcelona because of sightings of the Death Ship.

NThe Angel of Death has descended upon the city.

NA wise-woman in a nearby township claimed that the spirits told her that a great storm is coing which could destroy soulsThe Church had her burned at the stake as a heretic and devil-worshipper.  She never screamed during the entire execution, but stared at the Bishop.


FEBRUARY 1198

NSeveral Kindred have disappeared suddenly

NSailors and sea merchants say that a Death Ship is coming to Barcelona. Many of them are leaving for other ports.

NSightings of the Restless Dead have increased dramatically. The church has no official stand on this issue.

NThe Knights Templar have arrived and are garrisoned at The Palace.

NMost outlaying farms have lost dozens of sheep and cattle. Food prices are rapidly inflating and the economy is near collapse.

NScouts say that the Moorish Army appears to be gathering in force.


JANUARY 1198

NSeveral Assamites have entered the city and are planning to assassinate key figures.

NThe Baali have called in some experts to assist them in Barcelona.

NThe Knights Templar have entered France and will arrive in Barcelona next month.

NThe peasantry is terrified.  There have been Demonic Manifestations within the city, and now the peasants say that something terrible has been awakened in the woods.

NThere has been no contact with the Red Talons for several weeks.


December 1197

NThe Assamites have allied with the Setites and are planning a spring offensive.

NThe Lamia are enraged over the death of Crysalde, be very careful around the Cappadocians.

NThe Lasombra Court of Blood is going to rule against all Lasombra in Barcelona, if the current situation does not improve.

NAutheriel of Britannia was destroyed by church inquisitors, they attacked him in his haven.

NThe Tremere have recalled most of their members to Eastern Europe. Several chantries have been destroyed, but not by the Gangrel, Tzimisce or Salubri.


October 1197

NThe Baali are growing in strength and have managed to bring a Powerful Demon to Earth.

NFive churches were destroyed by "Hellish Magicks" and the cathedral has been desecrated with the blood of a fallen priest.

NAny Kindred who enters the Catacombs seems to disappear, only the Cappadocians, Lamia and Nosferatu are excepted.  It is said that a gateway to Hell exists beneath the City.

NThe Tremere seem to be very nervous of late.


September 1197

NA young boy was slain, the markings on his body indicate a demonic connection.

NThe Jesuit compound was burned to the ground, many think it was heretical arson.

NTwo ships were lost at sea when they entered an "unusual" fog bank.

NPeasants say demons have been seen flying above the city.

NA young man named Timothy the Devout is said to work miracles.


August 1197

NThe Prince and all of the Elders have been consumed by the Inferno which gutted the city.

NThe fires were Demonic in origin, and some burned blue-green and cold.

NThe Knights Templar are coming to Barcelona to fight in the Reconquista.

NA priest was murdered at an outlying shrine and his body was savaged by beasts.
