THE LAWS OF THE PRINCE OF BARCELONA

The First Law: Of Caine's Laws
The Kindred Conclave of Barcelona holds the Traditions, also known as Caine's Laws. They are subject to interpretation by the Prince .

The Second Law: Of Status
No Kindred of Barcelona may own land, title, or have a Voice in Court until they gain the status of Acknowledged. A Kindred without such status, save for announced un-released Childer, is known as outlaw and may be put to death without fear of reprisal from The Second Tradition: Destruction. Treat it not lightly.

The Third Law: Of Domain and Hunting Ground
The Domain(s) and Hunting Ground(s), if any, of the Kindred of the Barcelona Conclave are given and taken away by the Prince's leave and grace. Never assume that lands, titles, holdings and such are yours by the right of Clan, station, or any other; they are not. Petitioning the Prince for such ownerships is allowed, after a given Kindred has gained the status of Acknowledged.

The Fourth Law: Of Ghouls
No Kindred of the Conclave of Barcelona, save for the Prince and Grand Master Stonemason Mario, may have more than two ghouls. Your Ghouls are your responsibility. They may be brought to the Kindred Court, with understanding of such responsibility. Any action on the part of your ghoul reflects upon yourself, much the same as a Childer. No ghoul may be at Court alone, without his or her Dormitor. Should a ghoul be found without his or her Dormitor at Conclave, they will be detained and quite possibly punished. Kindred of Barcelona may choose animals instead of humans for their two-ghoul allotment. Remember, though, that you still have the same responsibility to them. Should any Ghouls, human or animal, be caught in a breach of the Masquerade, they will be slain and their dormitor severely punished.

The Fifth Law: Of the Garou
The Kindred Conclave of Barcelona has a treaty of peace in effect with the Garou (Werewolves) who inhabit the aforementioned city. Do nothing to jeopardize this treaty of peace; it was long in the gaining. Go not into the forest the Garou claim as domain unless and until the Prince gives you leave. Should you choose to do so, by the right of the fifth tradition: domain, the Garou may do with you what they will

The Sixth Law: Of Punishments
The breaking of Laws or Traditions is both a punishable and sometimes a killing offense. Punishments will only be meted out by the Prince, or a duly designated representative of the Prince. Designated representatives are chosen only by the Prince, and are not subject to repercussions for carrying out the Prince's orders, save for from the Prince herself. Methods of punishment will be decided on a case-by-case basis, due to interpretation(s) of the Prince. Refusal to perform a punishment deemed by the Prince is also an offense.

The Seventh Law: Of Elysium
Elysium, the gathering place of the Kindred Conclave of Barcelona, is a neutral territory. Violence of any kind is not tolerated.
Any who come bearing the white cloth of truce may be heard, save for Baali and Followers of Set (Setites). Baali and Setites will be escorted off Elysium by the Prince's Justice, and given half a candlemark to leave the city before the Blood Hunt is called.
The property upon which Elysium is held belongs to Aelflaed the Blue. Any Kindred guilty of property destruction of any kind will render compensation to Aelflaed.

The Eighth Law: Of the Silence
The Kindred Conclave of Barcelona follows the Law of Silence, known also as the Masquerade: "Thou shalt naught reveal thyself to those not of the Blood". Any vampire or ghoul caught in breeching the Masquerade is to be detained for the Prince, by force if necessary, for punishment.
