Rumours of the City

This is the news heard in the City of Barcelona as the game progresses.

DECEMBER 1203

N Rumor has it the reason the Spanish King denied permission for the French Princess to wed Count Carlos, was that he had received advice to do so from a trusted advisor.

N Phillipe was said to have gone to speak with the Baali. He has not been seen since he descended to do so in a mausoleum in the graveyard forbidden entrance by Pierre.

N When many of the Kindred went after Phillipe to the graveyard, it was said they were showered with arrows from an unknown source.

N The mystery of the missing Scribes was at least partially solved, many of the them were found in a supposedly abandoned church on the road to Sabadell, working for a woman who called herself the Messenger.

N Many of the Kindred of Barcelona have spoken with the Messenger; they claim she speaks directly mind-to-mind, and has much wisdom to impart.

N A duplicate of Mario was seen at All Hallows' Eve, slaughtering folk in the Irish quarter Mario is responsible for overseeing. The double has since disappeared.

N

N Lore, a newcomer to the Conclave, was said to have been granted a vision of wisdom from the Messenger, that he said changed his life.

N Seamus was heard to say the Messenger had granted him the first lesson: pain is only in ones' mind, and that she proved it to him as well.

N On All Hallows' Eve, Jesse and Seamus received a visit from a ghost claiming to be their dead sire, Willum. His 'spirit' commanded them to avenge his death.

N Kayden and Morgan have both, surprisingly, rather abruptly left the city.

N Aiobh has not been seen in over a month, and Mario professes to not be certain of her whereabouts.

N A Baali woman came to the Conclave, and demanded the return of the pieces of their chalice (which is said to be in Pierre's possession) in return for knowledge of the missing Garou.

N The Baali woman, after making her demands of the Conclave of Barcelona, was subsequently staked with an arrow from Pierre, and delivered to the Garou for judgement.

N
After the change of seasons inside the Fae Court, the Unseelie Sluagh took it upon themselves to teach Thomas a lesson.

N Thomas has been heard to say that he has been taken on as an apprentice to those of "dark fey magic".

N Amelia, after days of inquisition, was heard to admit to being a witch and brewing poisons for her own and others gain. She was ordered for execution.

N The witch Amelia, on the day of All Hallows' Eve, burst into flame when she was being taken outside for execution. Onlookers said it was a sign from God of her guilt.

N Thomas was heard to fly into a rage when the Mario look-alike claimed he was sent by the Viovode of Barcelona.

N The church that housed the missing Scribes (and purportedly housed the Messenger) was stripped for useable parts and then burned, by proclamation of permission, during the day.

N The French Princess Angelique has been seen in confession with the Kings new Chancellor, a very holy man. A small but rare and valuable shipment of black marble was sent to the Stonemasons' Guild, bearing the seal of the Rogue's guild.

N It is said the Statue of the Blessed Lady inside the Second Artisans District increases fertility, and the Church is angry at the drawing away-from piety of the virgin Mother.

N Rumor has it Pierre was behind the plot that led to the execution of Amelia.

N Whispers say the newcomer Thomas could be the Seelie Fae Ambassador True Thomas in disguise, and that was why the Unseelie Sluagh attacked his holdings.

N France, enjoying a brief respite from the attentions of King John of England, is planning on sending envoys for better alliances to Spain.

N
